Extra Large Format ProLINE-RoadRunner XLF for Automotive
Applications
|
The world's only Just-In-Time
programming solution has been extended to support large geometry
devices up to 32 mm, in 44 mm tape. Driven by high pin count
packages, device geometries have grown predominantly for microcontrollers.
Using variable-width tape input modules, the ProLINE-RoadRunner
XLF supports the entire family of memory and microcontroller
devices available on Data I/O's FlashCORE automated programming
and handling systems.
|
 |
By way of direct attachment to the SMT placement machine, the
In-Line programming system is optimal for lean manufacturing
and six sigma environments. Code changes can be delivered directly
to the ProLINE-RoadRunner XLF on the product assembly line such
that re-work of programmed device inventory is minimized.
Using Data I/O's proprietary High Insertion Count (HIC) adapter
modules, the RoadRunner delivers the highest yields available in
the industry. Only 100% known-good devices are delivered to the
pickup point of the placement machine. The RoadRunner attaches directly
to SMT placement machines and thus consumes no additional floor
space.

Serial Number Server Now Supported on FLX500 Automated Desktop
System
Data I/O's Serial Number Server (SNS) provides the complete solution
for programming unique numbers or other dynamic data from your
external source file during the production process. Examples of
unique data include serial numbers, MAC addresses, and product
ID codes.
File formatting and conversion utilities are included in the
software as is byte swap support and post-programming reporting.
The dynamic data are only included in successfully programmed
devices, and the server tracks used and unused numbers.
Previously supported on the ProLINE-RoadRunner, PS family, and
FlashPAK programming systems, the application software has now
been extended for operation with the FLX500 automated desktop
system.
For more information on the Serial Number Service application
software or the FLX500, please contact your local Data I/O sales
representative under http://www.dataio.com/contact/

Flash Boost Provides 3X Speed Gains for 8- and
16-bit NAND Devices
As device densities and image file sizes continue
to expand quickly, so does the need to maintain and improve programming
system performance.
Because of the field configurability of the FlashCORE
programming technology (hardware), programming and verifying times for
high density NAND devices can be easily implemented by simply loading
the Flash Boost algorithms.
Data I/O has begun shipping Flash Boost algorithms
that execute on the current generation FlashCORE II platforms (RoadRunner,
PS, FLX, FlashPAK). Previously installed FlashCORE I platforms need to
be upgraded to the FlashCORE II platform to run the Flash Boost algorithms.
Please see the table below for examples of the significant performance
gains delivered by Flash Boost. This level of performance improvement
can have an immediate and dramatic impact on product assembling efficiency.

One year of Annual Programmer Support (APS) is included
in new FlashCORE system installations. The APS program is available as
an annual renewable program for maintaining and increasing the productivity
of Data I/O's systems.
Current users of FlashCORE II platforms with APS programs
in place will receive the Flash Boost performance algorithms as part of
this value extension program. For more information on the Flash Boost
algorithms or upgrading to FlashCORE II, please contact your local Data
I/O sales representative under http://www.dataio.com/contact/
